On Friday 26th June we invite all parents and carers to join us in unveiling the new school bench in memory of Rob. This will be followed by a charity walk around the field. At 2:30pm the school gate will be opened for parents to gather at the front of the building. Pupils will remain with class teachers and will gather on the small field at the front. After the unveiling pupils will return to class and then parents will be invited to go and sign out their child from their class to complete the charity walk – 5 laps of the field. Please note that if you are collecting your child from class, the expectation is that they participate in the walk before leaving school. If your child is in our afternoon nursery or reception classes, they will be walking 5 laps of the smaller field at the front of the school. The areas will be marked out with cones and Year 6 helpers to direct you on your journey! If your child is in our morning nursery, they are more than welcome to come back at 2:45pm with their adult and walk the 5 laps to show their support. If you have a child in both nursery or reception and Year 1 – Year 6, you can choose between the two routes, providing you are accompanying all of your children at all times. If you are unable to make the event, class teachers will be taking the remaining children in their classes around the route. We will also be selling ice lollies for 50p!
