Writing Motivation
Within our English block plans, we ensure every unit we cover leads to a purposeful end point. We believe this helps motivate and hook pupils into their learning and helps raise the standard of their writing. Staff come up with a variety of creative ways to motivate pupils. Some examples can be seen on this webpage.
Year 5 Journalists
Year 5 have enjoyed learning how to write like a journalist. They took responsibility to report accurate and detailed facts very seriously even working under pressure to type their article for the publishing deadline. It was incredibly difficult to choose a selection to share but these three made the final print!
Year 2's Non-Chronological Reports
Year 2 have been learning all about butterflies and their life cycle in science in preparation for their trip to, 'Butterfly World.' In English, they have been creating their very own reports all about butterflies. Miss Clapperton selected 4 pupils who worked hard throughout this unit of work to share their report with the founder of, 'Butterfly World.'
